Courses for children and teenagers
Students have the right to a place for the next school year if they sit for their final exams and are up-to-date with their monthly fees. New students can register in the first forthnight of June and September.
It’s a specially designed course for 6-to-8-year-old kids. They get their first knowledge of the language through sketches, pictures, songs, video games, and the audiovisual method.
Learning is built up through oral understanding and expression in these years.
The course goal is to develop children’s ability to understand, to read, and to write in English. Apart from the resources mentioned above, educational video-clips, confidence-building activities and the language laboratory are put into practice to help them at this stage.
At the end of the course kids would be able to use the four communicative skills; oral understanding and expression as well as understanding and expressing themselves in writing.
The student begins to realize that language is a number of previously acquired habits through repetition of grammar structures and consolidating thus the vocabulary, rhythm, and intonation learnt before getting to this point.
The audiovisual method, pedagogical videos, the language lab, and carefully-chosen course books aid the student to get actively involved in his learning process.
The Preliminary English Test is an international exam from the University of Cambridge. It is meant for those who have got a basic knowledge of the language in the four skills; reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
The student is able to express himself in a limited way in a familiar situation and to deal in a general way with uncommon information.
This is the most popular of the Cambridge exams. It entitles students with good foundation for university studies as they get the capacity to achieve most goals and express themselves on range of topics.
The students who get to this level have the ability to communicate with the emphasis on how well it is done, in terms of what is natural or acceptable, sensitivity, and the capacity to deal with unfamiliar topics. It is specially recommend it for those who need it for their profession.
It is the capacity to deal with what is academic or cognitively demanding, and to use language to good effect at a level of performance which may in certain respects be more advanced than that of an average speaker.
